CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Cardiovascular Endurance:  Aerobics Classes

1.      LOW IMPACT:  no jumping necessary to get your heart pumping.  For all levels.

2.      ZUMBA:  Latin aerobics to put some salsa in your step.  Cardio caliente for all levels.

3.      TRIBAL FUSION BELLY DANCING:  a modern form of belly dancing that contains elements of  hip hop’s popping & locking, traditional Bharatanatyam, flamenco and gypsy dancing.

Cardiovascular Endurance:  Step Classes

1.      STEP & CRUNCH:  45 minutes of step followed by core training and a stretch.

2.      DIMENSIONAL STEP:  multiple steps are used in one of the following patterns:  horizontal, vertical, double step, or circular step.  For intermediate/advanced steppers.

Muscular Endurance and Strength

1.      TOTAL BODY SCULPT:  isolates opposing muscle groups using a variety of props.

2.      BALLS AND BALANCE:  build core strength using a stability ball.  Bring your own sticky mat. 

3.      NEW YORK CITY BALLET WORKOUT:  ballet movements to develop strength, balance and tone.  Uses music from the repertory of NYCB.  No ballet experience necessary. 

Concludes with a movement combination inspired by ballets of the New York City Ballet.

Flexibility Enhancement

1.      STRETCH & RELAX:  a mix of stretching techniques.   Soothing music, candles, aromatherapy and a meditative reading to relieve your stress.  Bring a sticky mat & blanket.

2.      GENTLE YOGA FUSION:  promotes breathing, stretching, endurance, relaxation, visualization, balance, and a sense of overall well-being. For all ability levels.  Bring a sticky mat & a blanket.

3.      ADVANCED PILATES MAT:   core stabilization based on the work of Joseph Pilates.  This class uses a variety of props.  For clients with at least 2 years of consistent Pilates mat experience. 

4.      INTERMEDIATE PILATES MAT:  For clients with at least one full year of Pilates mat experience. 

5.      ABSolute BEGINNER PILATES MAT:  Learn the basic mat series of exercises based on the work of Joseph Pilates.  Bring a sticky mat and al towel.

 

                                                      Combination Classes

1.      TRIFECTA MIX 20/20/20:  three 20 minutes classes rolled into one providing cross-training. 

2.      INTERVALOCITY:  alternating intervals of aerobics and sculpting using various props.

3.      KICK I.T.:  the punches and kicks of kickboxing mixed with bouts of body sculpting.

Specialty Classes – Additional Fees

1.       HEALING TAI CHI:  focuses on the health benefits of this ancient Chinese martial art, with special emphasis on the needs of seniors.  Taught by Sandra Balint on Wednesdays from 9:30-10:30am. 

$10 for walkins, 5 class card for $40 or 10 class card for  $60.  Call 877-6359 for info.

2.      ARGENTINE TANGO:  Thursdays 6:30-7:30pm and 7:45-8:45pm with practice time from 7:30-7:45pm.  Taught by instructors from Tango Fusion.   Call 306-4173 for dates & pricing info.
